

The Anislag Lions Village is a humanitarian project for the calamity victims who lost their houses caused by mud flow from Mayon Volcano brought about by typhoon "Reming" (Code name: "Durian"). This project was made possible through the international cooperation of MD-106 Denmark Disaster & Relief Foundation who donated US$80,000 and administered by District 301-A2 Philippines in cooperation with Gawad Kalinga Foundation and the Provincial Government of Albay. The Anislag Lions Village project comprises of building a totally new community with 60-units houses as part of the 400-units project in Barangay Anislag, Daraga, Albay, South Luzon Philippines. The project site was jointly supervised by lion members or Region-VII of District 301-A2 and Gawad Kalinga Legaspi City. The selection of recipients was in coordination with Gawad Kalinga Foundation and Department of Social Welfare & Development of the Province of Albay. The beneficiaries, the Provincial Government of Albay and the Municipality of Daraga wishes to extend their utmost thanks to those who in one way or the other made this humanitarian project a reality specially to the officers and members of MD-106 Denmark Disaster & Relief Foundation, the Lions District 301-A2 and Gawad Kalinga Foundation. |
